Puthusserickal Hassan is Head of the Nanotherapeutics and Biosensors Section at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Munbai, India. Recently he was interviewed by the Nature Careers team to find out what it’s like living and working as a scientist in India. He shares his early ambitions, some of the challenges of the job, offers some advice for those thinking about a career in research.
