This post is going to be quite personal as I am leaving my role as Community Manager this September.

Over the past year I have invited more than 1,000 researchers to join the Nature Research Chemistry Community, have written a number of posts and have taken part in a number of themed community collections. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who make this community welcoming, active and engaging! To those who have contributed a Behind the Paper post, and those who have written an After the Paper post - many thanks for your kind words of support for the Community and your enthusiastic feedback (below) about this platform.

"I'd be happy to contribute to Behind the Paper! This is a fantastic opportunity to share our work."

Many thanks to our readers and those who will join us in the future, sharing work and experiences and becoming part of the thriving and vibrant Nature Research Chemistry Community.

Meeting (through e-mail!) you all from different parts of the world and learning about your cutting-edge research has been the best part of my role.

Many thanks also to the team of editors and, most importantly, to the Communities and Engagement team: Ruth and Ben. Keep the Community growing!

Michal Filus

Community Manager (Aug 2018 - Sep 2019), Springer Nature

Freelance Community Manager for Nature Research Chemistry Community (August 2018 - September 2019). With my scientific background and professional experience in public engagement and research impact within the UK university sector, I helped drive engagement across Nature Research Chemistry Community and foster collaborations among chemical professionals.
