Supramolecular Chemistry Collection - an Update

In 2018 we published our Supramolecular Chemistry collection for the first time. Clearly the field moved forward over the past four years and we are happy to update our collection with exciting recent articles published in Nature Communications.
Supramolecular Chemistry Collection - an Update

In 2018 we first published our collection on Supramolecular Chemistry, highlighting exciting research in this field. Now, four years later, we are happy to showcase our recent research papers in this field.

Using weak and reversible forces, a tremendous variety on assemblies and materials of different complexity and serving very specialized applications can be synthesized. Clearly, the Supramolecular Chemistry became a truly interdisciplinary research field spurring developments across biology, chemistry, nanotechnology, materials science, and physics. To reflect this interdisciplinary aspect of Supramolecular Chemistry, the collection features advances in synthesis and mechanistic insights, discrete assemblies, materials and applications as well as systems chemistry

We highlight a selection of recent articles published in Nature Communications, which we hope reflect the true breadth of supramolecular chemistry as a discipline.

Biomedical applications for nanotechnologies

Overall, there are still several challenges on the path to the clinical translation of nanomedicines, and we aim to bridge this gap by inviting submissions of articles that demonstrate the translational potential of nanomedicines with promising pre-clinical data.
