Solid state ionics involves the study of ionic conductors and their use and is regaining considerable attention worldwide in the recent years as it essentially defines some emerging technologies such as solid state batteries.

The International Conference on Solid State Ionics is a major global event in the field, which is held every two years starting from 1972 and discusses all topics related to fast ion transport in solids. The 22nd International Conference on Solid State Ionics (SSI-22) is to be held in South Korea from June 16 to 21, 2019.

According to the official website (http://ssi-22.org/) this conference 'will cover all classic and emerging topics related to Solid State Ionics. Tentatively, the themes are organised by application area and fundamental and application sessions are coordinated for each application group. A special session will also be held with global leading industry partners. It will be a great opportunity for industry experts from the fields of fuel cells, batteries, solar cells, and nano-electronics to join the SSI community.

I am sure this conference will be an unparalleled opportunity to network with leading experts in the field and stay updated with the latest advancements and trends.
